Case Study - Brand Development
PACT for Families Collaborative
Putting All Communities Together
PACT for Families Collaborative is a five county, multi-agency partnership that helps families and children reach their fullest potential. Founded in 1993, the organization was in need of a brand refresh and reached out to Moxie Creative to assist with this endeavor.
BEFORE
AFTER
At first, the PACT team indicated the desire for a nature-themed brand. But as we explored this direction, the team realized they missed the “people” and “collaboration” themes found in their original logo. We brought the feeling of hope, working together, and compassion together with a heart shaped icon. But as you look further, you also see a family of three hugging or perhaps a group of people working together.
PACT – which stands for Putting All Communities Together – is characterized with a bolder font choice, but we softened the edges for a friendlier feel. We took readability and reproducibility into account when creating the wordmark, something their previous logo lacked.
Blue and green are often chosen for friendly, compassionate brands, but PACT for Families didn’t want to be mistaken for a healthcare organization. They opted for a more subdued blue and green palette, with navy as the anchor and teal, avocado, and lime as supporting colors. Navy blue represents stability and trust, while teal communicates spiritual and mental balance.
