Hops Direct Belma®: The Little Hop that Could

Puterbaugh Farms is a Fifth generation hop farming family, growing hops in the Yakima Valley of Washington State since the early 1930s. Cutting out the middleman, Hops Direct specializes in farm-direct hops, working with brewers, both large and small, across the globe.

Farming on the same land as their ancestors, the Puterbaughs had a secret they wanted to share with the world, and her name was Belma®, the little hop that could. A unique offering exclusive to Hops Direct, Belma® is a real brewer’s delight!
Hops Direct’s primary sales channel is eCommerce, so naturally the majority of its customer communication is digital. But Belma® was different. Her story deserved to be told in a unique way.
We decided to craft a print piece to be mailed to Hops Direct customers, but it couldn’t be just any print piece. We chose a multi-fold mailer that playfully introduced Belma®, with a bit of nostalgia thrown in. Readers were brought along on her journey, discovering more details about this “little hop that could” with every fold.
