Case Study - Branding & Campaign
Packaboo
The Premier Packing Solution for Parents and Babies
As a new mom and avid traveler, Packboo founder, Allison Kamp, found herself frustrated with the amount of work and disorganization she experienced when traveling with her son. She thought there had to be a better way. After turning up empty, she decided to create it.

OUR ROLE
- Strategy, Branding, Creative, Digital Campaign
With a prototype in hand, it was time to create the perfect brand. The vision for the bag itself was something sleek and modern that could be worn as more of an accessory than a travel bag. The branding needed to match that tone while also remaining playful to fit in the baby gear space.
For the logo, we chose a more modern typeface and added our own spin with the reversed color A and smile connecting the O’s to create a smiley face. The icon resembles eyes like someone is playing “peekaboo”.
We tossed out many ideas for the color palette and ended up going with something neutral, appealing to all genders, and riding the popularity of the rising “beige mom.” The dot pattern was a fun way to add texture, and it ended up becoming the pattern inside the bag.
With the brand in place, it was time to share Packaboo with the world. Going all in on her dream, Allison wanted to try out a Kickstarter campaign. Even though our team had never worked on this type of project before, she trusted our ability to help bring this to life. Through copywriting, photography, videography, animation, and graphic design, we created the ultimate Kickstarter page.
Although the Packaboo Kickstarter campaign didn’t fund, Allison is not giving up on her dream. There is more fun to be had with Packaboo, and we’re excited to see where this one-of-a-kind product ends up!
