As 2025 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to pause, reflect, and look back on a year that shaped Moxie Creative in meaningful ways. In this special Behind the Brand episode, Taylor sat down one-on-one with each member of the Moxie team to talk through the highs, the hard moments, the projects that stretched us, and what we’re carrying into 2026.
What emerged wasn’t just a list of accomplishments. It was a shared sense that 2025 was a year of consistency, growth, and alignment. After years of transition and groundwork, this was the year things started to feel solid.
Here’s a recap of how each team member experienced 2025—and why it mattered.
Taylor: A year of steadiness and solid ground
For Taylor, 2025 stood out as a year of constant forward motion. After spending late 2023 and all of 2024 navigating a major agency transition, this was the first year where Moxie felt fully planted. The team wasn’t fighting for visibility or scrambling to define who they were. Instead, they were doing the work they set out to do.
Taylor reflected on how meaningful it was to see the team grow together, bring on new talent, and deepen relationships with clients and partners across Central Minnesota. There were highs and lows, busy seasons and quieter ones, but the overall theme was confidence. Moxie had found its footing, and that created space for better work and stronger collaboration.
Kelly Cane: Growth goals met and relationships honored
Kelly described 2025 as a year where goals became reality, sometimes faster than expected. One of Moxie’s big objectives was increasing monthly project volume, and while the year started slow, the team hit that goal by summer. The result was the busiest quarter Moxie has seen in years.
While the workload was intense, it was also validating. Campaigns performed well, projects delivered results, and the agency proved it could handle growth without losing quality. Kelly also reflected on the emotional side of the year, particularly saying goodbye to a long-term client of nearly three decades who sold their business and retired. It was a reminder that agency work is built on relationships, and those relationships matter deeply.
Looking ahead, Kelly shared optimism rooted in experience. Change is inevitable, but Moxie has built the kind of foundation that allows it to adapt and move forward with confidence.
Brittany: Creativity, balance, and finding her rhythm again
For Brittany, 2025 was both personally and professionally transformative. Between welcoming a new baby and returning from maternity leave, the year required a full mental reset. Coming back into creative mode after fully unplugging was a challenge, but it also reinforced the importance of boundaries and balance.
Professionally, Brittany found joy in diving deeper into website design and brand expansion projects. She shared how rewarding it felt to build something from the ground up, from color palettes and typography to full site layouts. One of her biggest takeaways from the year was learning how to compartmentalize life and work, allowing her to be fully present in both.
As she looks to 2026, Brittany is excited for more complex design work, bigger creative challenges, and hopefully the return of a large-scale catalog project to sink her teeth into.
Michael: Creative storytelling and problem solving
Michael reflected on 2025 as a strong creative year, highlighted by projects that allowed for deeper storytelling. One standout was the Folsom Prison Experience, where the team completely reimagined the brand’s website to better reflect the immersive nature of the show. The project pushed creative boundaries and leaned heavily into narrative-driven design.
While Michael loves the creative side of websites, he shared that the technical backend challenges can be some of the most frustrating parts of the job. Troubleshooting plugins, functionality issues, and unexpected glitches stretched his patience—but also his problem-solving skills.
Looking ahead, Michael is excited to wrap up long-running projects and start fresh in 2026 with new builds, new ideas, and a chance to reset creatively.
Tyler: Stepping into agency life and finding confidence
2025 marked Tyler’s first year at Moxie Creative, and it didn’t take long for him to feel like part of the team. From his early days designing Moxie’s sticker sheet to contributing across branding, video, and content shoots, Tyler quickly became a key part of the agency’s creative output.
He shared how refreshing it’s been to work in an environment with fewer meetings, more hands-on collaboration, and a balance between desk work and on-location content creation. At the same time, stepping into an award-winning agency brought its own challenges, including imposter syndrome and self-comparison.
Looking to 2026, Tyler is excited about major life goals like buying a home and professional milestones like designing packaging for a product he can someday see on a store shelf.
Mo: Local impact and meaningful partnerships
Mo described 2025 as a year filled with projects that felt purposeful, especially those rooted in the local community. One standout was the B-Side branding work, a project that not only turned out beautifully but continues to live and breathe in real time just steps from the Moxie office.
Mo also highlighted Promenade as a defining moment of the year. Seeing months of planning come together in a single event, surrounded by community members and industry peers, reinforced the value of the work Moxie does behind the scenes.
As 2026 approaches, Mo is excited about projects already in motion, deeper involvement with the American Advertising Federation, and continuing to collaborate with creatives across the region.
Tune In and Get Inspired
Across every conversation, one thing was clear: 2025 wasn’t about flashy pivots or reinvention. It was about showing up, doing the work, and growing together. The team enters 2026 with optimism, grit, and a shared commitment to building brands that matter.
If you’re heading into a new year wondering how to reflect, reset, or refocus your own business, this episode is a reminder that progress doesn’t always look dramatic—but it’s always worth celebrating.
